Some science papers on myocarditis following vaccination are listed below, with a summary to the right.
NatureMedicine recently published a large study using a sample size of 42,000,000 hospitalised patients and assessed the risk of myocarditis following vaccination compared with Covid infection.
The averaged results showed an additional 1 chance per million of myocarditis following Pfizer shot compared to 40 per million following Covid infection in hospitalised patients.
Shortly after, this study was extended (still in preprint) to include data from 13 year olds and stratified according to sex and age.
The averaged results showed an additional 2 chances of myocarditis per million following Pfizer shot compared to 30 per million following Covid infection in hospitalised patients.
For young men under 40, the results showed an additional 12 or 13 chances per million following 2nd and 3rd Pfizer shot compared to 7 per million following Covid infection in hospitalised patients.
Therefore, in young men under 40, the chance of myocarditis following vaccination is higher than if they caught Covid.
The study did not appear to take into account data from patients that visited their GP so numbers may be greater than in the report.
Excerpt from Abstract:
"We conclude that the mRNA vacs dramatically increase inflammation on the endothelium and T cell infiltration of cardiac muscle and may account for the observations of increased thrombosis, cardiomyopathy, and other vascular events following vaccination."
